Thomas Kaiser

Thomas Kaiser has more than 10 years of MIMO expertise. After receiving his PhD degree in 1995 and habilitation degree in 2001, he headed the Department of Wireless Chips & Systems, Fraunhofer Institute of Microelectronic Circuits and Systems, Duisburg, Germany.

From 2002 to 2006 he co-leaded Europe's largest MIMO research team at University of Duisburg-Essen, and was visiting professor in Stanford's Smart Antenna Research Group and Princeton's EE department. Now he leads the Department of Digital Signal Processing at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and is founder and former CEO of mimoOn GmbH.
Thomas gave several keynote speeches about MIMO and LTE on international tradeshows and congresses.

Dr. Meissner was previously General Manager of E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH and CTO of Orange Communications SA and is now Operating Officer and Board Member of the NGMN Alliance, a worldwide platform for the seamless introduction of next generation mobile broadband services (www.ngmn.org). He strategically advises mimoOn in the world of LTE operators, infrastructure, and device manufacturers.

Dr. Meissner, “The LTE roll-out requires smaller and smaller cells in order to make high data rates happen, especially also in scenarios with a large number of simultaneous users. Due to its leading partners and outstanding algorithmic and software development expertise, mimoOn is well positioned in this rapidly growing market.
